Dental Insurance Networks
We participate with most of the major PPO Dental insurance networks. We are happy to do a complimentary benefits analysis so that our treatment estimates are as accurate as possible.
Here are some of the dental networks that we have preferred provider status with: Aetna, Ameritas, Assurant, Benefit Administrative Solutions, Blue Cross/Shield, Cigna, Cypress Benefit Administrators, Delta Dental, Dental Select, GEHA, Guardian, Healthcomp, Humana, MetLife, Principal, and United Concordia.
in-network vs. out-of-network dentists
In-network dentists have contracts with insurance companies, agreeing to charge pre-negotiated rates, or “contracted fees,” for services. This typically results in lower out-of-pocket costs for patients, as insurance covers a higher percentage of the treatment cost. Patients pay only their deductible, copay, or coinsurance based on their plan.
Out-of-network dentists don’t have contracts with the insurance company, meaning patients may be billed for the difference between what the insurance covers and the dentist’s full fee. Insurance may still cover a percentage, but usually at a lower rate, leading to higher costs for non-covered treatments, larger copays, and unmet deductibles.
